MAKING SURE YOUR ICE IS CLEAN. EVERY TIME.

RESIDENTIAL ICE MACHINE CLEANING

THE SERVICES YOU WANT, WHEN YOU NEED THEM

There is not much worse than going to some ice from a machine you spent a lot of money on only to find that your ice machine has broken down and isn’t working. There are lots of factors on why these machines or components fail but one of the most frequent reasons is because an owner hasn’t performed regular maintenance on their pebble/nugget/opal ice maker.

Most people are unaware of how damaging hard water can be on their ice maker, which could cause minerals to accumulate within your machine that can halt ice production and perhaps ruin or cause other components in your machine to fail. Manufacturers recommend anywhere from 3-6 months for removing these hard water deposits (descaling) your machine although, because of how hard Utah’s water is, it is recommended to remove those hard mineral deposits (descaling) from your machine every 3 months.

Uinta Ice Company removes mineral deposits and buildup from your ice maker to maintain your unit is running at peak performance. In addition to removing the mineral deposits (descaling) we will also clean and sanitize your machine so you can always have access to fresh, clean ice. Did you know that the bottom of your pebble ice machine is a great breeding ground for mold and mildew? Although it’s cold, mold spores will grow and if left unchecked will contaminate your ice. When we come to service your machine will thoroughly clean and sanitize your machine so you can rest assured that your ice is clean.

WHEN TO CLEAN YOUR ICE MACHINE

When your machines “TIME-TO-CLEAN” indicator light is on or you are experiencing any of the following, it might be a sign that your machine needs to be cleaned:

  • Visible build up

  • Unusual taste

  • Low capacity

  • Dark color to your ice

  • Notice that the bottom basin is dark

  • Ice is incompletely formed

  • Ice is misshaped

  • Unusual noise

  • Time to clean light is on
